Playing the total is a definite option for bettors in the first game of this NL series.
San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers
San Francisco dropped a 4-3 decision to the Colorado Rockies in 15 innings on Sunday at Coors Field. The club is four games into a season-long 11-game road trip that takes the team through three different time zones. “We need to be more consistent on both sides of the ball,” manager Bruce Bochy said. Since June 22, the Giants have lost 10 of 12 games and have been outscored by a 67-42 margin. San Francisco’s recent troubles has caused the team to fall back a season-high 7.5 games in the NL West divisional race. The team has good reason to be confident in playing the Brewers, as the Giants have posted their best record against NL Central opponents this season (15-7). San Francisco played at Miller Park twice last season, going 3-3, but the club has won just six of their last 23 games in Milwaukee.

Here is this weeks installment of the College Football Weekly Recap for June 28 through the 4th of July. While the NBA free agency buzz has captivated the sporting world, there were still a few NCAA football stories to take note of to help with your future college football picks ats this coming season.
As is always the case when we enter July there are a bunch of NFL free agents who haven’t landed on a new team yet, but who still have some rubber left on their tires. Most of them will likely end up somewhere by the time the season starts, but where or when isn’t always clear. Here are 10 guys that seem like potentially useful players in the right spot:
The World Series of Poker has been underway at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas since May 28. There are 57 different events in all that take place at the event, but the one that matters more than any others is The Main Event. The Super Bowl of poker crowns the world champion each year, and the winner becomes both very famous and very rich. Last year 6,494 players each paid $10,000 to play in the event, and we should see about that many again this year.
Over the month of July we will look at the top college football teams in the nation and preview 31 teams in 31 days. Here is team #28 and the 2010 Stanford Cardinal Football Preview.
Many of us will celebrate independence from Great Britain Sunday with a picnic, fireworks, and hot dogs. Luckily, we won’t have to chow down 60+ dogs like the participants of Nathan’s Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Milwaukee put its second-ranked offense on display on Saturday, racking up 19 hits and 12 runs in a blowout win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The run total was the most the Brewers’ offense has tallied since June 14. “Days like this are few and far between for a pitcher of his caliber,” said All-Star outfielder Ryan Braun about putting up such a total against Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter. The Brewers added two home runs to its NL-leading total of 101, which is third in the majors behind Toronto and Boston. The Brewers are now 20-22 on the road (+200) and have gone 4-8-1 in series play away from Miller Park. Milwaukee’s offense has been sparked from the top this season, with Rickie Weeks ranking tops in the majors in home runs (14) and RBI (49) for a leadoff batter.
