Floyd Landis Denies Doping Allegations

Just 4 days after Floyd Landis shocked the world and came back to win the tour de france, Landis has been suspended by his cycling team for testing positive for high levels of testosterone.  Landis has stated that he is not guilty and hopes that the public will wait to see the results of the B test before the public starts to assume his guilty.

The test was administered right after his remarkable stage 17 run where he came back from over 7 minutes down.  Landis is one of only 3 americans to win the tour de france, along with Greg Lamond and Lance Armstrong.

  1. The entire sports world seems remarkbly short on knowledge when it comes to biochemistry.

Floyd Landis was having cortisone shots for his bad hip.

    Cortisone BECOMES testosterone.

That’s what makes those “bulk up by taking steroids” guys so hair-trigger. The testosterone.

  2. I still have a feeling the B test will shed more light on the situation. I just find it hard to believe a stand up guy like Landis would have risked a failed drug test to try and cheat his way to victory.
