Run Lines for today's MLB baseball schedule are listed below. Runlines are baseball spreads with a money line added to it. Because there are not a lot of runs scored in MLB games all of the spreads will always be listed as -1.5. To get equal action on a game and to set a fair baseball line that will draw equal action, bookmakers move the money line odds instead of the point spread like you might be used to in other sports like basketball or football.

Runlines have the same rules as betting on baseball game totals. The game must go a full 9 innings of play or 8.5 innings if the home team is ahead. Obviously the ninth inning isn't played out in this scenario. Both starting pitchers are automatically listed and each listed pitcher must throw the 1st pitch for their respected ball club for the wager to have action. Any scenario where one starting pitcher doesn't throw the first pitch will result in all runline money refunded.

First half baseball odds are semi-new to the sports bettor. Not all books carry these lines, right now Pinnacle, Cascade, and CRIS are the only sportsbooks offering lines and totals on this type of prop bet.

The rules are fairly simple and are pretty much untouched compared to regular 9 inning baseball betting. The only glaring difference is all wagers are decided on the score after five full innings of play instead of 9. All first 5 inning or 1st half spreads list the starting pitcher so each team's named starter must start for the bet to have action. If a pitcher from either team doesn't start all bets are canceled before the game. That is the basis of first half MLB betting, check out the 1st half odds below.

The final category we have posted is the 2nd half baseball lines or 2nd chance lines as Pinnacle likes to call them. Right now CRIS sportsbook posts their 2nd half baseball spreads before the start of the game, while Pinnacle opens their odds in about the 5th inning of play to give bettors more time to bet than just the time between the end of the 5th inning and the top of the 6th. Only thing with Pinnacle is any run scored in the 5th inning results in the bet being no action.

For CRIS these spreads work just like 1st half bets and have the same rules as 1st half baseball betting. The only difference is that all bets start in the top of the 6th inning and are based just off of scoring in the 6th, 7th 8th and 9th innings.

Pinnacle's second chance lines work a little different. Your bet and their 2nd half odds are based on the outcome of the full 9 innings of play. Essentially Pinnacles lines the game like a second half using a point spread of runs but judges the results on a full game. It is something very new and interesting. For those that like to watch a game on TV so you can have a better feel how the game is playing out before you bet, this could be your niche.
