ESPN.com reports that the Portland Trailblazers will choose Greg Oden first in this year’s NBA draft. The choice was between Ohio State freshman star center Oden and freshman small forward Kevin Durant from the Texas Longhorns. Durant won just about every college award possible prior to declaring for the draft.

Detroit point guard, Chauncey Billups has exercised the opt out clause in his contract, which means he has terminated his contract with the Pistons a year early. This year, Billups played in 70 games, averaging 17.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 7.2 APG and 1.2 SPG. He shot 43% from the floor, 35% from downtown and 88% from the free throw line. The 30 year old has played 10 seasons in the NBA, playing for Boston, Toronto, Denver, Minnesota and Detroit. He’s been a member of the Pistons since the 2002- 2003 season. Ever since Dan Marino retired, the Miami Dolphins have been in search of a high-quality replacement. Of course, it’s tough to find the next, young QB who’s going to turn things around.
