The Bills are currently 3 point underdogs against the Dolphins, but Maddux sees the Bills +3 as the only side to take at this point
Two AFC East foes looking to turn things around this season meet in Buffalo on Sunday when the Bills host the Miami Dolphins.  Buffalo suffered a heartbreaking 25-24 loss to New England in last year’s regular-season opener and enters this game against Miami as a 3-point home underdog on the current NFL point spreads.

Panthers Giants Betting Preview
Eli Manning and the New York Giants are 6.5 point favorites on Sunday
The Carolina Panthers and New York Giants open the regular season and New Meadowlands Stadium on Sunday, each looking for fresh starts off disappointing years.  The Panthers and Giants both missed the playoffs after identical 8-8 campaigns that were simply not good enough to get them to the postseason in competitive divisions.

The super bowl champs open up as 4.5 point home favorites according to the NFL odds makers
The Minnesota Vikings visit the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints to kick off Thursday night’s 2010 NFL regular season in hopes of avenging a heartbreaking loss in last year’s NFC Championship Game.  The Vikings covered the 4-point spread for NFL picks handicappers as road underdogs in the last meeting back on January 24 that left them just short of making the big game in a 31-28 loss.  But you can bet Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre decided to come back for another season rather than start his retirement just so he could try to redeem himself after his interception at the end of the fourth quarter cost his team a shot at a potential game-winning field goal.

Week 1 NFL Lines
The week 1 nfl betting lines are posted with thoughts of the games as well
The NFL regular season kicks off this Thursday night when the New Orleans Saints begin their championship defense at home against the Minnesota Vikings. The game is a rematch of last year’s NFC title game, which the Saints won in overtime. The Saints looked good in the preseason. Drew Brees is an elite quarterback, and Reggie Bush might be ready to have his break-out season this year. For the Vikings, Brett Favre is back for his final season yet again. Sage Rosenfels was traded to the New York Giants, which means Tavaris Jackson is the established backup should Favre fall to injury. After the way the Saints went after Favre last year, that scenario is certainly a possibility. The absence of Sidney Rice is a big loss for Minnesota. The public likes the Saints at nearly 4:1. As you can see on our NFL betting lines page – or the table below – the line opened with New Orleans favored by 4 ½ points. Most books have stayed there, though a couple have moved up to 5 points.

New Orelans Saints Football
Drew Brees and the Saints Check in at #1 in our NFL Power Rankings for Week 1
1. New Orleans Saints – The champs looked good in the preseason. Drew Brees leads one of the League’s elite offenses. The defense should be good enough. The Super Bowl will take place in Dallas, but the road goes through New Orleans.

Arizona Cardinals Football
With Leinart and Anderson in a QB duel for the starting position, both should see a decent amount of action tonight.
When the Washington Redskins head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals Thursday night, the ‘Skins will travel farther than any other preseason team this year. In fact, this will be the longest road trip for the Redskins all season long. “Why couldn’t they come here?” asked guard Derrick Dockery. Head coach Mike Shanahan added, “It’s a little unusual traveling that far.” These are not the kind of comments you want to be reading if you are backing Washington. Considering this is the final week of the preseason and the game doesn’t really matter, Redskins bettors should be very worried.

Bears Vs Browns Preview
The Chicago Bears are 2 point road favorites against the Cleveland Browns tonight
The Chicago Bears (0-3) have been anything but impressive in going winless this preseason and will be hard-pressed to turn things around in the finale considering starting quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to sit out and rest for the regular-season opener against Detroit.  Regardless, the Bears enter Thursday’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns (1-2) as 2-point road favorites on the NFL football betting lines despite the fact that veteran Todd Collins will be calling a majority of the offensive signals.
