TCU Football
TCU was favored by 50 last week and covered
How many points are too much? When it comes the first two weeks of the college football season, the top teams are laying some big chalk.  And guess what, they are covering a lot of the time. They may be called square bettors who lay the wood, but they are cashing tickets.

The Sam Bradford era begins today and the Rams are only 3.5 point home underdogs
The Arizona Cardinals will have a newer look than even they probably anticipated heading into their regular-season opener on Sunday when they visit the young St. Louis Rams.  The Cardinals are 3.5-point road favorites on the current NFL point spread and tabbed free-agent acquisition Derek Anderson as their starting quarterback over Matt Leinart while the Rams will go with rookie Sam Bradford.

Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers Offense
Aaron Rodgers leads the Green Bay Packers as 3 point road favorites in week 1 of the NFL
An intriguing matchup between two NFC playoff teams from a year ago will take place in Philadelphia on Sunday when the Eagles host the Green Bay Packers.  The two starting quarterbacks will also be featured in the spotlight and with good reason, as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are 3-point road favorites on the NFL point spread against Kevin Kolb and the Eagles.

The Bears are 6.5 point home favorites today over the Lions
This will be the first true test of the new Mike Martz offense for the Chicago Bears as they host the Detroit Lions in the regular-season opener between two NFC North foes.  Chicago’s offense was not broken against Detroit last season, scoring a combined 85 points in sweeping two meetings.  But a revamped Lions defense could pose some problems for the Bears (-6.5 on the NFL betting odds), especially after they scored only 46 points in four preseason games with Martz’s new scheme.

Vince Young and the titans will be looking to start the season off on a better note than last year, the titans are 6 point favorites today
The Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders both look to be much-improved in 2010 as they meet in the regular-season opener on Sunday in Nashville.  Oakland has surprisingly covered six of the last seven meetings between the teams (including preseason and postseason) but enters this tough road game at Tennessee as a 6-point underdog by the NFL oddsmakers.

The Patriots are 4.5-5 home point favorites today against the Bengals
The New England Patriots will try to beat the Cincinnati Bengals for the fourth straight time and win their seven season opener in a row when they meet on Sunday in Foxboro.  The Patriots opened at -6 and have been bet down to -4.5 and -5 in some spots in a battle between two division winners from a year ago that fizzled in the playoffs and reloaded in the offseason.

Freeman will look to make a big jump in year 2
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns do not have much recent history playing against each other, as they have met only twice during the regular season over the last decade.  But new Cleveland starting quarterback Jake Delhomme knows all about the Bucs from his days with the Carolina, going 9-2 vs. Tampa Bay as the Panthers starting QB.

David Garrard and the Jaguars are 3 point home favorites
The Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars kick off the 2010 season on Sunday in a rare game where the road team will play a major role in the attendance.  The Jaguars sold out only one home game last season, prompting numerous blackouts for local fans who wanted to watch their team on television.  Enter rookie sensation Tim Tebow, who is a Jacksonville native but was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of this year’s NFL draft.
