The Indianapolis Colts are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games

Seattle is definitely one of the top teams in the NFL, as it has won all four of its games to start the season, including a 23-20 overtime victory over the Houston Texans as one-point road favorites in Week 4.  The Seahawks were out-gained in their last affair by 206 yards, which is important to consider when looking over the pro football odds page.  Quarterback Russell Wilson will need to be dynamic in this game, as he ranks ninth in the league with a 95.3 passer rating, while he’s also amassed 131 rushing yards.  Seattle is 3-5 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in October the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 5-3 in that situation.

The Seahawks defense should keep the Colts to under 20 points in this affair, as they possess one of the top secondaries in the league—led by cornerback Richard Sherman.    Seattle is 18th against the run in allowing 109.0 yards per game on the ground, but the defense could be strengthened with the return of linemen Michael Bennett.  Offensively, running back Marshawn Lynch should be able to pick up big chunks of yardage, with the franchise sitting behind only four teams in averaging 144.3 rushing yards.

Indianapolis returns home after picking up back-to-back road victories, including a 37-3 blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars as 9.5-point favorites last week.  The Colts have won the statistical battle in three of their four games, while falling UNDER the betting total in all but one contest.  Second-year quarterback Andrew Luck is off to a strong start—completing 64.1 percent of his passes with five touchdowns.  He threw for 260 yards and two scores in last week’s effort.  Indianapolis is 2-3 SUATS as home underdogs of three points or less the last two-plus seasons.

The Colts also have the ability of running the football, as they rank just ahead of the Seahawks in that category.  Indianapolis is hoping that former Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson continues to gain comfort in a new system, as he’s coming off a 60-yard performance.

Sports bettors will likely back the Colts due to their 9-3 ATS mark in their last 12 home games.
