NBA Openers– One Trick and One Treat

With the 108- 66 humiliation of the Miami Heat by the Chicago Bulls and the 114- 106 win of the Kobe-less Los Angeles Lakers over the Phoenix Suns, the NBA season is on!

The Heat, which underwent the worst drubbing an NBA championship team has ever experienced, must have thought that last Halloween night’s trick by the Bulls was no treat at all. There’s nothing like an early wake-up call. Guys, take those championship rings off. They must be throwing you off balance and slowing you down.

For the Lakers, Lamar Odom led this team with 34 points, including going 3 for 4 from the 3-point mark. He had the game-high rebound total–13.

It was a real treat for home town Laker fans. There are 13 games on the NBA slate tonight. The season is on, check out Maddux Sports for our free NBA Preview and the latest lines, which are also offered free of charge.
