Miami left the court at halftime trailing Saint Mary’s 27- 32. When they left the court at the end of the game, they had scored 51 second-half points and earned a 78- 64 victory. Guard A.J. Abrams had a dynamite game, scoring 26 points. Guard/forward Damion James had a double-double, taking down 10 rebounds and scoring 10 points. Center Dexter Pittman also earned a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Forward/center Connor Atchley led the club with 4 assists. He also had 7 rebounds and scored 12 points. Texas blocked 6 shots. The team was simply dominant.

Unlike other top seeds, neither Miami nor Texas had a tough time with their opponents. In this next round, something has to give. Texas is so well balanced and working so well as a team that it simply seems impossible for the Longhorns to lose. But take note of Miami’s superior foul shooting. If Texas gets desperate, charity tosses could be big and Miami could dominate that area. Check the live basketball odds, as Texas figures to be the most bet public side in the second round and you will likely get an inflated betting line on the Hurricanes.
