Team Needs
Cornerback: Nathan Vasher blossomed into a pro bowl corner last year but Jerry Azumah has retired and Charles "Peanut" Tillman might be moving to free safety. Securing another corner is a must for the Bears in the early rounds.
Wide Receiver: The Bears thought they had an elite number 1 wide receiver in Mushin Muhammad but last season by his own admittance he was revealed as only a number 2 guy. Chicago has a few good young wide outs, but no elite player to stretch the defense.
Tight End: Desmond Clark is serviceable but is not the best blocker and drops alot of balls. Adding another big target with good hands could make Rex Grossmans' job much easier.
Summary
Chicago signed backup quarterback Brian Griese to give the Bears a good backup to the injury plagued Rex Grossman. For the bears to succeed they will need to have more weapons for Grossman to throw to. Securing an elite wide out in the first round and netting a solid tight end in the latter rounds could solve their offensive woes.
The Bears defense was one of the leagues best in 2005, but cornerback was clearly the weak point of this team. Miami's Kelly Jennings could be a nice upgrade if he was there in the second round or maybe Texas' Cedric Griffin could be enticing in the latter rounds.
