Team Needs

Offensive Tackle: Oliver Ross missed 4 games last season to injury and was a disappointment at right tackle. Ross is 32 and didn't play well when fully healthy anyway while Fred Wakefield didn't fit well as a replacement. Look for the Cardinals to address this issue in the first two rounds of the draft.

Quarterback: Kurt Warner isn't getting any younger and his durability is a big question mark. Backup John Navarre is not a future NFL starter.

Safety: Free safety Robert Griffith is 35 and has lost a step and may even retire. Strong Safety Adrian Wilson is a player that plays close to line which means the replacement must be an excellent pass defender with speed.

Summary

The Cardinals have had 2 very good drafts the last 2 years and haven't moved up or down via the trade route. Because the Cardinals have a shot at the playoffs this season, look for them to make drafting a quarterback a back seat decision, taking one in the later rounds.

Denny Green and the Cardinals would love for Virginia's D'Brickashaw or Memphis running back DeAngelo Williams still to be around when they select 10th but both of these guys will likely already be selected. Look for the Cardinals to use their 1st round pick on an offensive tackle that slips down since they now don't need a running back due to the addition of signing former Colt Edgerrin James.
