Dirk Nowitzki
At an even seven feet, the Mav’s Nowitzki is a towering power of basketball muscle and moves. Nowitzki’s strength is not shot blocking, although he’s certainly good at it, but shooting and rebounding. From the field he’s got a 50% accuracy rate. What makes this power forward lethal is his foul shooting. Nowitzki hits 90% of his free throws, which makes his size and inside shooting especially dangerous. When guarding him, players want to be careful not to foul him or the result could be an automatic two or three-point play. He ‘s also a strong rebounder, with ninety percent of his 10.9 rebounds per game coming off the defensive boards. During the playoffs, he’s created 2.6 turnovers per contest, while scoring an average of 27.8 points per game. Of all power forwards left in the playoffs, he’s probably the best inside shooter. His biggest problem is his desire to take the three-pointer, which is his least effective shot. Nowitzki is a tough competitor, who has played through injuries without missing a beat.
