-10 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks

.) Donovan McNabb – It’s very difficult to predict how Donovan McNabb will fare this season without a go to receiver. Reggie Brown, Todd Pinkston, and Greg Lewis should be the top 3 receivers on the team all of whom are yet to prove themselves as quality receivers. McNabb has had this problem most of his career with the exception of having T.O. for a season and a half so he should still be a solid fantasy QB. In only 9 games last season amidst all the distractions, he threw for 2507 yards and 16 touchdowns in just 9 games until he was injured. I think McNabb is a risky pick but still deserves to be in the top 10.

.) Eli Manning – Eli Manning improved immensely last season compared to his rookie year throwing for more than 3700 yards and 24 touchdowns. He needs to cut down on his 17 interceptions from a year ago in order to further his growth as an NFL quarterback. He does have a good supporting cast with Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey, and Plaxico Burress to throw to. Look for Manning to continue to improve in just his third year and make fantasy owners happy.

.) Drew Bledsoe – The addition of Terrell Owens makes Bledsoe’s stock rise because he now has a premiere target to throw to. Bledsoe was solid for fantasy owners last season as he threw for 3639 yards and 23 touchdowns. Right now his age is the only thing holding him back from being a top 5 quarterback. With T.O., Terry Glenn, and Jason Witten, Bledsoe has enough targets to sling the ball around as much he wants. I expect him to have a very productive year in 2006.

.) Jake Delhomme – Delhomme was solid again in 2005 throwing for more than 3400 yards to go along with 24 touchdown passes. He has the best receiver in the game to throw to and an improved running game should take some pressure off Delhomme this season. The addition of Keyshawn Johnson is important because it will draw attention away from Steve Smith creating more opportunities for big scores for this duo.

.) Daunte Culpepper – In the 7 games that he played in, Culpepper appeared to miss Randy Moss last season. He now finds himself in a much better situation in Miami. He has a very good go to receiver in Chris Chambers along with a solid running attack. With better weapons around him, if Culpepper can stay healthy he should have a decent season.
