Alabama is now 4-1 SU and 1-4 ATS on the year after suffering a 23-17 defeat to the Mississippi Rebels as 5.5-point road favorites last Saturday, but it has still managed to win the statistical battle in every contest.  The Crimson Tide are a dominating 21-2 SU in October since 2008, which is important to consider when making your Week 7 college football betting picks, especially since Nick Saban often bounces back with a win following a SU loss.  Alabama is 1-1 SU and 0-2 ATS as road favorites of 7.5 to 10 points over the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 2-0 in that situation.

The Crimson Tide have a couple of the best playmakers in the Southeastern Conference, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page, as receiver Amari Cooper has 156 receptions in his career, while running back T.J. Yeldon is sixth in school history with 2,760 career rushing yards.  Alabama will look to get back to its winning ways by running the football, as it has captured 64 of 66 games when gaining 140 or more yards on the ground.

Arkansas has the SEC’s top rushing attack, as it comes off a bye week after dropping a 35-28 overtime decision to the Texas A&M Aggies as 9.5-point underdogs on Sept. 27, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time in five contests.  The Razorbacks are averaging 316.6 rushing yards per game, but will be going against the nation’s third-best stop unit in that category, with the Crimson Tide allowing just 64.0 per game.  Arkansas is 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points since 2012, with the UNDER going 3-2 in those five opportunities.

The Razorbacks will need Brandon Allen to step up with a major performance in hopes of pulling off an upset, as he’s seen his passer rating improve from 109.0 in 2013 to 153.4 this year.  The junior has completed at least 50 percent of his passes in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.  Through five games, the school leads the FBS with 20 rushing touchdowns, with Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins accounting for eight and six respectively.

Sports bettors will likely back the Crimson Tide due to the favorite going 5-1 ATS in the last six games in this series.
