Auburn is 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS through five games of the season, as it comes off an impressive 41-7 win over the LSU Tigers as seven-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total of 57.  The Tigers are just plus-four in terms of turnover margin this season, which is important to consider when making your Week 7 college football predictions, but they’ve outscored opponents by a 37-0 margin in that category.  Five of the team’s seven remaining opponents are ranked in this week’s top 15.  Auburn is 6-1 SUATS in its last seven games as road favorites of three or fewer points.

The Tigers have averaged 43.0 points and 514.7 total yards of offense during their nine-game win streak against Southeastern Conference opponents, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.  Auburn has put up most of these numbers with quarterback Nick Marshall under center, as he’s put together a school record seven 100-yard rushing games in his career.  Defensively, the unit has really locked down opponents on third down, with 18 consecutive stops in that situation.

Mississippi State has defeated two top-10 teams in the same season for the first time in school history, while it has scored a record 213 points through the first five games of the 2014 campaign.  The Bulldogs have tallied an SEC-leading 41 tackles for loss, while they limited the Texas A&M Aggies to 5.3 yards per play after their first drive in a 48-31 victory as 2.5-point home favorites last Saturday.  Mississippi State is 4-2 SUATS when the betting line is between +3 and -3 the last two-plus seasons, with no clear edge in terms of the betting total (3-3 Over/Under).

The Bulldogs have compiled a 35-1 SU record when leading at halftime under head coach Dan Mullen, while they’ve gone 14-4 when totaling 500-plus yards of total offense during his time in Starkville.  Mississippi State is led by Heisman Trophy candidate Dak Prescott, who accounted for 347 yards of total offense and zero turnovers against the Aggies.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bulldogs due to their 6-0 ATS mark in their last six conference games.
