Louisville has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, as it looks to bounce back from a 42-31 setback to defending national champion Florida State as 3.5-point home underdogs in Week 10, while going OVER the betting total for just the second time in 2014.  The Cardinals have one of the biggest playmakers in the country in wide receiver DeVante Parker, which can’t be ignored when making your college football betting picks, as he caught eight passes for a career-high 214 yards last week.  Louisville is 5-1 SU and 4-1-1 ATS when the betting line is between +3 and -3 the last two-plus seasons.

The Cardinals have done a tremendous job in forcing opponents to make mistakes dating back to last season, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting lines, as they’ve caused 48 turnovers over the last 22 games.  Since becoming a head coach in 2003, Bobby Petrino has compiled a 28-7 SU record in November, including a 12-3 mark during his two stints at Louisville.

Boston College returns home after picking up a pair of road victories over Wake Forest and Virginia Tech, while it has gone UNDER the betting total in four of its last five affairs.    The Eagles have split their six all-time meetings against the Cardinals, but the two programs haven’t bet since 1998.  Offensively, the team is averaging 274.9 rushing yards per game, which is the ninth-best attack in the country.  Boston College is 9-8 SU and 12-5 ATS at home the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 8-6 in that situation.

The Eagles are the only team in the country that ranks in the top 10 in both rushing offense and defense, as they’ve allowed opponents to average just 88.9 yards per game on the ground.  Boston College has demonstrated the ability to hold onto the football, as it has lost just two fumbles on the year, while it ranks ninth in the country in being penalized just over four times per game.

Sports bettors will likely back the Eagles due to their 5-0 ATS mark in their last five home games versus a team with a winning home record.
