The Washington Huskies are no longer the doormat of the Pac 10 conference. Two years removed from former head coach Tyrone Willingham’s disastrous 2008 season, during which the Huskies won no games, the table is set for Washington to return to postseason play. Second year head coach Steve Sarkisian looks to build off last year’s five-win campaign that included a huge upset of USC in Husky Stadium. This year the Huskies have a somewhat favorable schedule and a load of experienced talent, and have an outside shot of winning the Pac 10 conference, which appears to be up for grabs.

The Oklahoma Sooners are expected to annihilate the Utah State Aggies this Saturday evening. According to our college football betting lines page, the Sooners opened as a 28 point favorite and now books are listing the game at 34 points. The betting public is on the side of the Sooners at a staggering 97% clip, which is why the line has jumped 6 points. By game time, this line will hopefully be at or over 35 ½ points.

The Pac- 10 is in a state of flux this year, with perennial favorite USC on probation and ineligible for the conference title. Also next year the conference adds Utah and Colorado to become the Pac -12. The conference is wide open but might come down to the Civil War between Oregon and Oregon St. Though Washington, Cal, Stanford, and maybe UCLA have a chance of winning the conference title as well.   One thing is clear about betting the Pac-10, the conference is definitely known more for offense than defense, and so the opportunity exists for plenty of over plays. Jimbo Fisher takes over the Seminoles, but Bowden left him with the talent to compete for a conference title. Clemson and Boston College are expected to be their main competition. Free College Football Picks: Regular Season Win Prop Bets

Every year sports books offer wagers on college football team regular season wins. You can bet over or under a certain amount of games, and conference championships and/or bowl games do not count. They are a fun way to wager that give you action all season. Sometimes it backfires due to injuries, as was the case with Oklahoma last season. The Sooners were a top 5 team and projected to get 10 or 11 wins and compete for a National Title. Of course everyone remembers what happened in the first game last season. Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Sam Bradford was injured against BYU. The Sooners lost that game and never recovered. They ended up with a disappointing 7-5 season before beating Stanford in the Sun Bowl. And by the same token, teams such as Iowa came out of nowhere and won 10 games last season. 2010 Big 12 Predictions With Odds To Win & Order of Finish

Texas & Nebraska Are 2 of the 3 top teams in the Big 12
Though big changes are on the horizon for the Big 12 as long time conference members Nebraska and Colorado bolt for the Big 10 and Pac 10 respectively next year, expect two things to remain constant this season. One, the Big 12 will still be one of the elite conferences in the country, and the conference title race will come down to three teams Oklahoma, Texas, and  Nebraska. Players from the conference were 4 of the top 5 players taken in this year’s NFL draft, a feat never accomplished by any conference in history. Though it is difficult if not impossible to replace such talent as Sam Bradford, Ndomukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Trent Williams, Russell Okung, Dez Bryant, and Colt McCoy, a Big 12 team has a good shot of playing for the BCS national championship. The Head Ball Coach and South Carolina open up on ESPN against Southern Miss, Pitt and Utah looks to be a great match-up, and USC travels to Hawaii in the late game. These games feature big-name schools and understandably hoard a lion’s share of the press. Although the Cyclones and Huskies are flying under-the-radar, expect this to be an entertaining game.
