Texas in the College Football Rankings — The Texas Longhorns lost as home favs and took a tumble in our college football power rankings for week 5

1. Alabama Crimson Tide, 4-0 (1) – Mighty Alabama just about fell to Arkansas. The Tide was down to the Hogs by 13 in the second half, but 2 Ryan Mallett interceptions and Alabama’s cool resolve ended in a 24-20 win. The champs don’t get any time to rest, though. They welcome the Gators to Tuscaloosa for another big game, and then have to travel to South Carolina. Last week: Defeated Arkansas, 24-20. This week: vs. Florida (4-0).

College Football Power Rankings: Top 25 Poll For Week 2

Boise State Football Rankings — Boise State has jumped up to #3 in our top 25 College football rankings poll

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (1) – Alabama had no trouble with a weak, week 1 opponent. This week is a different story as the Tide welcomes the Penn State Nittany Lions into Tuscaloosa. Nick Saban vs. Joe Paterno. Will Mark Ingram play? Does it matter? Last week: Defeated San Jose State, 48-3. This week: vs. Penn State (1-0).
