North Texas has alternated wins and losses in its first four games of the season, as it looks to build off a 77-3 blowout victory over Nicholls on Sept. 20, while going OVER the betting total for a third consecutive affair.  Over their last 12 games played, the Mean Green have compiled a 9-3 SU record, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA football picks.  The team must force Indiana to make a few mistakes in hopes of covering the number, but it’s important to point out that the team has a plus-four turnover margin in 2014.  North Texas is 4-10 SU and 7-7 ATS on the road the last two-plus seasons.

The Mean Green’s 55 points scored off opponent turnovers ranks fifth in the country, which is important to consider when looking over the NCAA football odds page.  North Texas ranks in the top-20 nationally in rushing defense, total defense and sacks.  Offensively, the squad is one of just seven in the country that remains perfect in the red-zone—scoring on all 13 trips and hitting pay dirt 11 times.

Indiana wraps up its non-conference schedule and looks to improve upon its 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS mark, as it comes off a 37-15 defeat to the Maryland Terrapins as 2.5-point home favorites last Saturday.  The Hoosiers have one of the best running backs in the Big Ten Conference, as Tevin Coleman has recorded six straight 100-yard performances, while he’s also scored a touchdown in his last 13 games played.  He ranks first in the country in averaging 172.8 rushing yards per game.  Indiana is 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points since 2012.

The Hoosiers have played aggressively on defense, which is demonstrated in sitting second in the Big Ten and 20th nationally with 7.5 tackles for loss per game.  In head coach Kevin Wilson’s three-plus years in Bloomington, Indiana has set 22 school records, while it has scored 35 or more points 15 times over that span.

Sports bettors will likely back the Mean Green due to the Hoosiers being 5-8 ATS as favorites the last two-plus seasons.
