Stanford has won back-to-back games, including an 83-56 victory over UC Davis as 22-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total in each of those contests.  The Cardinal have four probable starters averaging in double figures, with junior guard Chasson Randle leading the way in scoring 18.2 points per game, which is important to consider when making your college basketball betting picks.  The program is looking for its first win in five attempts against Connecticut.  Stanford is 0-4 SUATS as road underdogs of 6.5 to 9 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Cardinal have traveled 11,523 miles during non-conference play entering Wednesday’s affair, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  Stanford is 59-19 SU against out of conference foes under head coach Johnny Dawkins.  Offensively, the team is averaging 81.9 points per game on 50.4 percent shooting, which is far better than scoring 69.3 points a contest on 40.1 percent shooting a season ago.

Connecticut is coming off a 12-day break for final exams, at it was last seen picking up a 95-68 victory over Maine on Dec. 6.  The Huskies have one of the best all-around players in the country, with point guard Shabazz Napier topping the team in averaging 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.  Nine teams in program history have begun a season with a 10-0 record, while the best start came during the 1998-99 campaign.  Connecticut is 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS as home favorites of 6.5 to 9 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Huskies are shooting a nation-best 46.5 percent from beyond the arc, with five players making 10 or more shots from the three-point area on the season.  “A lot of us go back to the gym at night,” commented Connecticut guard Ryan Boatright.  Napier has connected on 16 of 28 shots from that particular area, which makes him a threat offensively from every spot on the floor.

Sports bettors will likely back the Huskies due to their 4-1 SU record when playing with seven or more days rest since the 2011-12 campaign.
