The Clemson Tigers haven’t had much success against the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium

Duke is looking to open the season with 15 straight wins for the sixth time under Mike Krzyzewski, as it comes off an 80-62 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as 22.5-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total in consecutive contests.  The Blue Devils are 12-1 all-time against the Tigers as the nation’s top-ranked team, winning those games by an average of 13.3 points per game, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils have five players averaging in double figures, with senior forward Mason Plumlee leading the way in scoring 18.3 points and grabbing 11.3 rebounds per game.  Duke has been lethal from the perimeter over its last four games, shooting 50.0 percent from 3-point range in that span, while knocking down 42.1 for the entire season.    It’s all about the starters for the program this season—accounting for 87 percent of the team’s total scoring.

Clemson is set to meet one of its hated ACC rivals for the 133rd time, as it attempts to bounce back from a 71-66 setback to the Florida State Seminoles as 3.5-point home favorites, while going OVER the total in consecutive contests.  The Tigers are second in the conference in possessing a plus-3.5 turnover margin, which trails only the Blue Devils in that particular category (+4.4).  Pulling off an upset would be quite the feat for this squad, considering it has gone 4-56 all-time when playing at Cameron Indoor Stadium.  Clemson is 2-5 ATS on the road when playing three or more consecutive home games, something to consider when looking over the college basketball odds page.

The Tigers will need to win this game in the front court, as they have three players averaging 10 or more points per game, with senior forward Devin Booker leading the way in scoring 11.9 points and grabbing 7.5 rebounds.  He scored 12 points and secured a team-high 13 rebounds in last year’s 73-66 loss to the Blue Devils as 6.5-point home underdogs, while the two teams went OVER the total for the first time in six meetings.

Sports bettors will likely play the total in this affair, as the OVER is 4-1 in the Tigers last five conference games, while the Blue Devils have gone above the number in six of their last eight games versus teams with a .600 or better winning percentage.
