Heat Celtics NBA Game Preview
The Miami Heat are 4-7 SU on the road versus conference opponents

Miami has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, as it attempts to bounce back from a 102-89 setback to the Indiana Pacers as two-point road favorites Friday night, while going OVER the total for the fourth time in five contests.  “We have to get better and play better at both ends of the court,” stated Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.  The Heat are 11-11 overall at home this season, including a 4-7 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.  Miami is 1-5 ATS after a loss by 10 points or more this season, which can’t be ignored when making your pro basketball picks on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Heat have won nine consecutive games versus the Raptors, including a 123-116 overtime victory as 10-point home favorites on Jan. 23, while going OVER the posted total of 194.5.  Miami has scored at least 20 points off turnovers in seven of their last nine games, averaging 22.7 points over that span.  Forward LeBron James is the player to watch on both ends of the floor, averaging 26.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game.

Toronto snapped a three-game losing streak when picking up a resounding 98-73 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers as four-point home underdogs Friday, while going UNDER the total for the fourth time in five affairs.  The Raptors were playing their first game with Rudy Gay in the lineup, who was acquired by trade from the Memphis Grizzlies.  “It was just good to get out there and play basketball,” stated Gay after his team debut.  Toronto is 6-0 ATS as a home underdog of 3.5 to 6 points this season, which is important to consider when looking over the pro basketball odds page.

The Raptors held the Clippers to season lows in points and field goal percentage last time out, as they’ve gone 16-8 this season when holding opponents under 100 points.  Toronto has been ahead entering the second quarter in eight straight games, while it holds a plus-77 advantage after the opening 12 minutes during the 2012-13 season.

Sports bettors will likely play the total in this affair, as the OVER is 5-2 in the last seven series meetings in Toronto.
