Los Angeles Clippers F Blake Griffin has never won on the road against the Phoenix Suns

Los Angeles has won 12 games in a row, including a 97-85 win over the Sacramento Kings as 13.5-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total for the sixth time in seven contests.  “It’s very exciting,” commented Clippers reserve guard Jamal Crawford.  “We just have to keep the streak going.”  The Clippers have really gotten after it on the defensive end during their current run, as opponents are averaging just 88.2 points on 41.5 percent shooting in that span.  Los Angeles is 8-3 ATS in December, with the UNDER going 6-4 in that situation.

The Clippers are 8-3 on the road this season, including a 4-1 mark versus Western Conference opponents.  Los Angeles ranks fourth in the NBA in shooting 47.7 percent from the field, while Phoenix ranks 10th in that particular category, which is why people should take a long look at the total when looking over the pro basketball odds page.  Through 26 games this season, the team has overtaken the Oklahoma City Thunder for the top spot in terms of point differential this season.

Phoenix had its four-game win streak snapped in a 96-93 setback to the Portland Trail Blazers as 4.5-point road underdogs, while going UNDER the total for the fifth time in six contests.  The Suns have an opportunity to bounce back from that effort, considering they’ve held opponents to 89.5 points per game during a four-game win streak at the US Airways Center.  Phoenix is 16-11 ATS when playing on Sunday the last two-plus seasons, which can’t be ignored when making your NBA picks against the spread.

The Suns are 9-5 at home this season, including a solid 6-2 mark versus conference foes.  Phoenix won three of four meetings in this series a year ago, overcoming deficits of nine or more points in all three victories.  The franchise has won 10-straight home games over the Clippers.

Sports bettors will likely back the Suns due to the home team being 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings, while the Clippers are 1-3 ATS when playing on the road with a total between 195 and 199.5.
