Raiders vs. Broncos NFL Preview
The Oakland Raiders run game has been non-existent during the 2014 campaign

Denver will attempt to bounce back from its second loss of the 2014 campaign, as it dropped a 43-21 decision to the New England Patriots as three-point road favorites last week, while going OVER the betting total for a fifth consecutive affair.  Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is the main player to handicap in this AFC West rivalry matchup, which is important to consider when making your Week 10 NFL betting picks, as he completed a season-worst 59.6 percent of his passes last time out.  The future Hall of Fame signal-caller has compiled a 32-8 SU regular season record during his time in the Mile High City.  Denver is 7-0 SU and 3-3-1 ATS as favorites of 10 or more points the last two-plus seasons.

The Broncos averaged 37.3 points during their four-game win streak before last week’s disappointing effort against the Patriots, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NFL betting lines, as they’ve scored 34 or more in four of their last five meetings in this series.  Defensively, the team needs to put forth a major effort, as it surrendered a season high in points and allowed 398 total yards.

Oakland is 0-8 SU and 4-4 ATS through eight games this season, as it returns home off a 30-24 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks as 13.5-point road underdogs, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in three contests.  The Raiders simply haven’t been able to run the football, as their current mark of 65.5 yards per game on the ground would be the lowest in nearly 70 years in that all-important statistical category.  Oakland is 1-4 SU and 4-0-1 ATS as underdogs of 10 or more points the last two-plus seasons.

The Raiders have been please with rookie quarterback Derek Carr’s play at times this season, as he’s thrown 11 touchdowns, while first-year linebacker Khalil Mack has demonstrated the ability to get after opposing quarterbacks.  The former Buffalo Bulls star in college has tallied 23 pressures in his last four games, but the Silver and Black stop unit has allowed an average of 29.2 points over its last five contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Broncos due to the favorite being 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings in this series.
