Tulane hits the road for its second American Athletic Conference road game, as it comes off a 12-3 victory over the Connecticut Huskies as 3.5-point home favorites in Week 7, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive contest.  The Green Wave have dropped all three of their games away from home this season, which is important to consider when making your Week 8 college football betting picks, as their last such win came on Sept. 28 of last year.  Tulane is 6-2 SU and 8-0 ATS in October the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-3-1 in that situation.

The Green Wave have dropped four of their previous five meetings against the Knights, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines, especially since they’ve dropped both games in Orlando.  Tulane freshman running back Sherman Badie is one of the more important players to handicap in this affair, as he ranks second in the conference in averaging 7.22 yards per carry on the ground.  On the other side of the ball, junior cornerback Lorenzo Doss has 14 interceptions in his career, which is tied for first among active leaders nationally.

UCF is enjoying a 3-0 SUATS run, which includes a 31-24 overtime victory over the BYU Cougars last Thursday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in four affairs.  The Knights are 9-0 in league games since making their debut in the American, while they’ve captured 10 straight regular season conference games overall.  It’s important to point out that the squad has outscored Tulane by a 110-14 margin in winning the last two installments of this series.

The Knights are 36-11 SU all-time at Bright House Networks Stadium, which ends up being the 12th-best win percentage at home for any team in the country over that span.  Through four games, UCF had 30 penalties for 265 yards, but head coach George O’Leary addressed the situation by having the team flagged just four times for 44 yards in its latest game.

Sports bettors will likely back the Green Wave due to their 9-2 ATS mark in Weeks 5 through 9 since the start of the 2012 campaign.
