Arkansas is one of two SEC teams to play at least eight straight weeks to open the 2013 campaign, as it looks to snap a four-game losing streak, which includes a 52-7 setback to the South Carolina Gamecocks as 4.5-point home underdogs last Saturday.  The Razorbacks are the only team nationally that plays preseason Top 10 opponents in four consecutive weeks, which can’t be ignored when making your college football predictions Saturday night.  The program has outscored its opponents 59-34 in the first quarter.  Arkansas is 3-7 SU and 1-9 ATS on the road since 2011, with the OVER cashing in seven of those 10 opportunities.

The Razorbacks are led by freshman running back Alex Collins, who is the only first-year player in college football averaging at least 100.0 rushing yards per game.  Arkansas and UCLA are the only teams in the country to start two true freshmen on the offensive line this season.

Alabama is 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS through six games this season, as it comes off a 48-7 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats as 26.5-point road favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in four contests.  The Crimson Tide have won six consecutive games against the Razorbacks—capturing those games by an average of 24.4 points.  Defensively, no team in the conference has allowed fewer first downs, while ranking fourth in the country in that all-important statistical category.  Alabama is 6-0 SUATS as favorites of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 4-2 in that situation.

The Crimson Tide are second in the conference and sixth nationally in time of possession, with quarterback AJ McCarron being the key player in that equation.  He has compiled a 31-2 record during his time on campus—completing 67.1 percent of his passes.  Alabama has also won 19 of 20 games in the month of October over the last six seasons.

Sports bettors will likely back the Crimson Tide due to the favorite covering four of the last five meetings in this series.
