Arkansas is 3-0 for the third time in the last four seasons, as it heads out on the road for the first time during the 2013 campaign—coming off a 24-3 victory over Southern Miss as 24.5-point home favorites last Saturday.  The Razorbacks are playing a football game in the northeast part of the country for the first time since 1940, as first-year head coach Brett Bielema tries to improve upon his 36-6 record when facing an opponent for the first time.  The program is the only one ranked first or second in the SEC in rushing defense, pass defense, total defense and scoring defense.  Arkansas is 3-5 SU and 1-7 ATS on the road the last two-plus seasons, which can’t be ignored when making your college football picks in Week 4.

The Razorbacks have outscored their opponents 21-0 in the fourth quarter this season, outgaining those opponents 308-78 in the process.  Arkansas is the only team in college football to have multiple 100-yard rushers in each game this season and the first SEC team since 2007 to accomplish such a feat in three straight games.  Alex Collins is the first freshman in SEC history to begin his career with three straight 100-yard rushing games.  The offensive line has allowed just six tackles for loss through the first three games.

Rutgers aims for its first 4-0 start since 2006, but it has gone 5-11-2 SU all-time against SEC opponents.  The Scarlet Knights will need a big game out of sophomore running back Jawan Jamison, who ranks seventh nationally and first in the American Athletic Conference with 373 rushing yards.  He broke a school record in carrying the ball 41 times in a 23-13 victory over South Florida on Sept. 13.  Rutgers is 8-1 SU and 5-4 ATS in September the last two-plus seasons.

The Scarlet Knights have gone 19-4 when rushing for 150 yards or more and not allowing a sack in the same game since 2000.  Rutgers has fielded one of the top defenses in the nation the last two seasons—something that has carried over into the first three games in 2013.  The program ranks 12th nationally in total defense and fifth in scoring defense.

Sports bettors will likely back the Scarlet Knights due to their 10-4-1 ATS mark versus winning teams.
