Virginia snapped a four-game losing streak in picking up a 30-13 victory over the Miami Hurricanes as four-point home underdogs last week, while going UNDER the betting total for a sixth consecutive contest.  The Cavaliers are 37-53-5 SU all-time against the Hokies, which is important to consider when making your Week 14 college football predictions, as they’ve dropped 17 of the last 21 meetings.  Virginia is 2-6 SU and 1-7 ATS when the betting line is between +3 to -3 the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 5-3 in that situation.

The Cavaliers are 0-4 SU against the Hokies under head coach Mike London, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page, as the team’s last win in this series came in 2003.  After scoring only 13 points in the second halves over a five-game span that saw Virginia go 1-4, the team managed to tally 17 points against Miami in the second half last week.

Virginia is 1-4 SUATS over its last five games, as it attempts to bounce back from a 6-3 overtime defeat to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as 13.5-point road favorites last week, while going UNDER the betting total for the fifth time in six contests.  The Hokies have an opportunity to get back in the win column, as they’ve proven victorious in their last seven games in this series when played at Lane Stadium.  Virginia Tech is 5-6 SU and 6-5 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 6-5 in that situation.

The Hokies are dangerous home underdogs because they’ve allowed just four touchdowns in their last five games against the Cavaliers, while five of their six losses have come by seven or fewer points.  Virginia Tech ranks second in the country in both sacks and tackles for loss, as it needs just a single victory to become bowl eligible under veteran head coach Frank Beamer.

Sports bettors will likely back the Hokies due to the Cavaliers being 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as favorites.
