Miami had its three-game win streak snapped in suffering a 30-26 setback to the Florida State Seminoles as 1.5-point home underdogs last Saturday, but it has still out-gained its last four opponents.  The Hurricanes have one of the best running backs in the country in Duke Johnson, which is important to consider when making your Week 13 college football betting picks, as he’s gained over 5,000 career all-purpose yards.  Quarterback Brad Kaaya has also become an important player in throwing for 22 touchdowns in 2014.  Miami is 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Hurricanes earned a 45-26 victory over the Cavaliers last year as 20.5-point home favorites, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines, but they were out-gained by a significant 483-304 margin.  Miami has dropped three of its four true road games this season, while it has fallen in defeat in both of its games when failing to reach the 20-point mark.

Virginia is mired in a four-game losing streak, which includes a 34-20 defeat to the Florida State Seminoles as 21-point road underdogs on Nov. 8, while going UNDER the betting total in five consecutive affairs.  The Cavaliers are 26-29 all-time when coming off their bye week, with four of those wins coming in six opportunities during the Mike London era.  Saturday’s game is the program’s first-ever Saturday night home game in the month of November.  Virginia is 3-19 SU and 11-11 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 12-10 in that situation.

The Cavaliers have lost six of 11 all-time meetings in this Atlantic Coast Conference rivalry, but they hold a 5-3 advantage in the last eight installments.  Virginia is 18-for-18 in its goal-to-goal situations this season with 14 touchdowns and four field goals.  It’s also important to point out that the squad is eighth in the country with 95 points off turnovers.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cavaliers due to the underdog being 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.
