The Duke Blue Devils are 5-0 ATS at home this season

Clemson has won and covered four games in a row, including a 42-13 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as 11.5-point road favorites, while going UNDER the total for a second consecutive week.  The Tigers were led by quarterback Tajh Boyd, who threw for 428 yards and five touchdowns, while 16 players touched the ball.  The team holds a 35-16-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 14-12 mark on the road.  Clemson is 6-1 ATS as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points, with the UNDER going 5-2 in that situation.

The Tigers have enjoyed great success running the football against the Blue Devils, with players having 23 games of at least 100 yards rushing in the series.  Clemson has scored at least 37 points in each of its last seven games, while the defense has improved over the last two games.  In those two affairs, the stop unit has forced five turnovers, leading to a 28-0 advantage in points in that particular situation.

Duke is going to be hard-pressed to pull off the upset in this spot, considering the team is 23-130-6 all-time versus nationally-ranked opponents.  The Blue Devils are off to their best start in five seasons under head coach David Cutcliffe, as this is only the 12th time since the ACC inception in 1953 that the program is 6-3 or better through nine games.  Duke is 3-3 ATS as an underdog this season, with the OVER going 6-0 in those affairs.

The Blue Devils have compiled a 5-0 record at Wallace Wade Stadium this year, matching the school record for home victories in a season.  Duke is averaging 31.9 points per game, which would rank as the third highest scoring average in school history, with the team posting a 17-5 record under Cutcliffe when putting 30 or more points on the scoreboard.  Quarterback Sean Renfree is a player to watch, as he’s completed at least 70 percent of his passes in five of eight games.

Sports bettors will likely back the Blue Devils due to their 8-0 ATS mark at home, while the Tigers are 0-4 ATS in November.
