The Hawkeyes beat Northwestern two weeks ago 40-10 and have also defeated a once-No. 19 Wisconsin team 10-6. C.J. Beathard has thrown for 1,598 yards on 60 percent completions with a 7.61 yard per attempt average.

Beathard has nine TD passes on the year with three INTs and a passer rating of 135.2 Last week, he attempted just 23 passes but completed 12 of them, though he did not throw at D pass in the game.

Beathard is a junior and last season he threw 52 of 92 for 645 yards. He has thrown for 200 yards or more time five times this season, including a 278 yard passing game against North Texas which Iowa won 62-16 in Week 4. He is battling a thigh injury but is expected to play this week.

Sportsbook reviews!

Indiana has dropped four straight games to Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers and Michigan State. Indiana was in the game against Ohio State, remarkably so, but was badly defeated by Penn State and Michigan State, both of whom it was heavy underdogs against.

QB Nate Sudfeld has passed 142 of 226 (62.8 percent) for 2,049 yards on the year with a 9.07 yard per attempt average. He has thrown 14 TD passes and four INTs and has a passer rating of 155.9.

In the backfield, Jordan Howard has 787 yards on 136 carries and five TDs. Devine Redding leads the team with seven rushing TDs and has 418 yards on 125 carries. At WR, Ricky Jones has 669 yards on 37 receptions, one of three IU options with 300-plus yards (Simmie Cobbs Jr and Mitchell Paige). Kicker Griffin Oakes has been good for 10 of 12 FGA with both his misses being 40-plus yard attempts.

Iowa RB Jordan Canzeri has rushed for 698 yards on 136 carries (5.1 yards per attempt) with nine TDs on the season, including a 75-yard TD. However, he is unlikely to play and missed last week’s game as well with an ankle injury.  His absence is a big blow but the Hawkeyes should be able to take care of Indiana without its premier back.

Iowa RB Akrum Wadley has been very good too with 306 yards on 53 attempts (5.8 per) and six TDs. The Hawkeyes have 21 rushing TDs on the season and nine receiving TDs. Matt VandeBerg leads the team in catches (44), yardage (270) and is tied with Trevaun Smith for the lead in TDs (2).
