Saint Louis has won 11 games in a row, including a 66-58 victory over the George Washington Colonials as five-point road favorites last Saturday.  The Billikens lead the Atlantic 10 Conference and are 19th nationally in allowing just 57.9 points per game.  Offensively, the team is incredible balanced, with six players averaging 7.2 points or more per game.  Saint Louis is 6-0 ATS in its last six road games, which can’t be ignored when making your college basketball picks against the spread Wednesday night.

The Billikens would ensure at least a share of the conference regular season title with a victory in this spot, which hasn’t happened since the 1970-71 season.  “We’ve got a really good opponent in Xavier,” commented Billikens interim coach Jim Crews this week.  Saint Louis has won just two times in the last 10 meetings in this series, which includes a 71-64 setback as 5.5-point favorites on March 10 of last season, while going OVER the posted total of 128.

Xavier has alternated wins and losses over its last six games, as it looks to bounce back from a 77-72 setback to the Massachusetts Minutemen as four-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the posted total of 139.5.  The Musketeers have been in a year of transition, considering they lost their top five scorers from a year ago.  Freshman Semaj Christon will need to have a big game on the offensive end if the program plans on pulling off an upset in this spot, as he leads all first-year players within the conference in averaging 15.0 points.  Xavier is 4-0 ATS following a SU loss, which is important to consider when looking over the college basketball betting lines.

The Musketeers are first in field goal percentage defense (.408) in the Atlantic 10, while they trail only the Billikens in surrendering 62.3 points per game.  Xavier has won its last six “Senior Day” or “Senior Night” and 15 of the last 16.  With an 8-6 mark in A-10 play, the team has clinched at least a non-losing conference record for the 31st straight season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Musketeers due to their 6-2 ATS record in their last eight home games.
