College Football Betting Lines Updated For Week 6 Games

The Red River Shootout highlights an otherwise uneventful Saturday of college football. The LSU-Florida game could be interesting, but if the Gators don’t figure out how to play against a topnotch defense it won’t be. As far good lines to play, make sure you sign up for Maddux Sports guaranteed winning picks.

Betting throughout the week has moved most of the spreads off the opening numbers. Navigate to Maddux Sports college football betting lines page to see the opening numbers, as well as where top sportsbooks are currently listing the games. Here’s a brief sampling of some of the bigger games.

Oklahoma (-10) vs. Texas – The Red River Shootout between Oklahoma and Texas goes down this Saturday. The Sooners opened as 9 ½ point favorites, and after coming down to 9 points, buyback on the Sooners has moved it up to 10 ½. Both teams are undefeated so far this season. Most people predicted that for Oklahoma, but the resurgence of Texas has been somewhat surprising. This game should give bettors a good idea of which team is for real and which team isn’t.

Penn State (-4) vs. Iowa –Penn State opened as a 1 ½ point favorite against Iowa, but sharps have moved the line up to 4 points. The public is backing the Hawks at better than 2:1. Iowa is coming off a bye, while the Nittany Lions got all they wanted from Indiana last week. In the past decade, Iowa has been a thorn in the Nittany Lions’ side. But the sharps seem to think they have a good read on this one.

Arkansas (-10) vs. Auburn – Arkansas and Auburn are both looking to build on big wins from last week. The Hogs came back against A&M and stunned the Aggies in Cowboys Stadium, while Auburn pulled off maybe the biggest upset of the day, winning at South Carolina. The line opened with Arkansas favored by 10 points and it hasn’t moved.

Nebraska (-11) vs. Ohio State – Two struggling teams are set to meet in Lincoln. Nebraska got crushed at Wisconsin, while the Buckeyes lost a close game to Michigan State in the Horseshoe. The Huskers opened as 10 point favorites but books have moved that up to 11.

Notre Dame (-14) vs. Air Force – The Fighting Irish opened as 17 point favorites against Air Force, but the wiseguys have pulled that all the way down to 14. Notre Dame had their way at Purdue and look to be improving week to week. Air Force blew a huge lead against Navy, but managed to win by a point in overtime after a controversial celebration penalty against Navy led to the Midshipmen’s failed PAT attempt. This should be a good test for Notre Dame.

Missouri (-4) at Kansas State – The Missouri Tigers opened as 3 point road favorites against Kansas State. Some books are continuing to post the opening number, others have moved to 3 ½ or 4. It’s never easy playing in Manhattan, Kansas, as Baylor recently found out. The Wildcats have been hot, beating Miami in Florida the week before. Missouri has two losses, but that has come against Oklahoma and Arizona State, dropping each game on the road. However in each case, Missouri covered the spread.

LSU (-13) vs. Florida – The Tigers and Gators will square off in Baton Rouge for a great SEC battle. The line opened at -12, but consistent betting on LSU has bumped it up to 13 points. Florida had an awful night against Alabama last Saturday. Now they’re going on the road to face a defense on the same level as ‘Bama. If Charlie Weis doesn’t get his offense into a better rhythm, it could be long day for Florida.
