Purdue has dropped back-to-back games, including a 39-38 setback to the Minnesota Golden Gophers as 12.5-point road underdogs on Oct. 18, while going OVER the betting total for a third consecutive contest.  The Boilermakers have split their previous two all-time meetings against the Cornhuskers, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 10 college football predictions, as they look to gain revenge from a 44-7 home loss in last year’s affair.  Purdue is 0-5 SU and 3-2 ATS as underdogs of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 3-2 in that situation.

The Boilermakers have scored 31 or more points in each of their last four games, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds, as they haven’t accomplished that feat since 2009.  Purdue has faced a challenging schedule this year, with two of its losses coming against teams ranked in the top eight in the most recent AP Top 25 poll. Offensively, the team has rushed for 1,447 yards this season through the first eight games, which is far higher than its 805 of a year ago.

Nebraska has won back-to-back games, including a 42-24 victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as 20-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive affair.  The Cornhuskers are one of only nine teams nationally to rank in the top 25 in both scoring offense and defense, while they’ve outscored opponents by an average of 22.8 points in posting a 5-0 record at Memorial Stadium in 2014.  Nebraska is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS as favorites of 21.5 to 31 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Cornhuskers are the only team in the Big Ten to have a winning conference record each of the past three seasons.  Nebraska has had a good run of success in the month of November under head coach Bo Pelini, who has compiled a 19-6 SU record in that situation.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cornhuskers due to their 5-1 ATS mark in their last six games.
