The Memphis Grizzlies are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games against the San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio has alternated wins and losses over its last five games, as it comes off a 108-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers as 13.5-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total in four consecutive contests.  “That’s the NBA season, you’re going to have ups and downs,” stated Spurs point guard Tony Parker.  The Spurs are 13-8 overall on the road this season, including an even 6-6 mark versus Western Conference opponents.  San Antonio is 3-10 ATS on the road where the total is between 185 and 189.5 over the last two-plus seasons, something to consider when making your pro basketball picks Friday night.

The Spurs outlasted the Grizzlies in their first meeting, capturing a 99-95 win as six-point home favorites on Dec. 1, while still managing to go UNDER the posted total of 196.5.  San Antonio has the fourth-best road winning percentage (.619) in the league, while they rank third in averaging 104.9 points per game.  The team has used 12 different starters, which makes it one of the deepest teams around the league.

Memphis returns home after sweeping a three-game road trip, including a 94-87 win over the Golden State Warriors as one-point road underdogs, while going UNDER the total for the sixth time in seven contests.  “We’ve been going through some ups and downs,” stated Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay.  “We had to come out here for ourselves to get three out of three.”  He is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per game, while power forward Zach Randolph has tallied an NBA-high 23 double-doubles.  Memphis is 4-0 ATS off an upset win as an underdog this year.

The Grizzlies have won 13 of their 17 games at FedExForum this year, including a 6-2 mark versus conference rivals.  Memphis is off to its best start in franchise history despite playing the sixth most difficult schedule in the NBA to this point, which has been made possible by allowing a league-low 89.1 points per game.

Sports bettors will likely back the Grizzlies due to their 5-2 ATS mark at home in this series, while the Spurs are 2-8 ATS against conference opponents.
