Lakers Spurs NBA Game Preview
The Los Angeles Lakers have lost all 10 of their games as underdogs this year

Los Angeles has dropped three games in a row, including a 95-83 setback to the Chicago Bulls as one-point road favorites Monday, while going UNDER the total in six of its last seven contests.  The Lakers have lost their last six games away from the Staples Center, which has landed them in the 12th spot in the Western Conference.  “We’re going to have to look at some things,” stated Lakers guard Kobe Bryant this week.  He’s second in the NBA in averaging 29.2 points per game.  Los Angeles is 2-8 ATS as an underdog this year, with the OVER going 7-2-1 in that situation.

The Lakers are hard to back in this spot when looking over the pro basketball odds page, considering they’ve lost all 10 games this year when receiving points.  Los Angeles has also compiled a dreadful 1-10 record on the road against above-.500 teams, as it looks to gain revenge from a 106-89 loss against Memphis as 4.5-point road underdogs on Nov. 23.

Memphis had its two-game win streak come to an end in dropping an 82-81 decision to the Indiana Pacers Monday, while going UNDER the total for a fifth-straight game.  “I think we just got too complacent,” stated Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley.  It’s important to note that the Grizzlies have scored 85 or fewer points in their last six efforts on the court.  The franchise still possesses a 26-14 record on the year, which is the best start in its history.  Memphis is 14-11 ATS as a home favorite of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Grizzlies are 26-6 in their last 32 games at FedExForum, while they’ve won 40 of their last 57 regular season games overall.  Memphis is led offensively by forward Rudy Gay, who is averaging a team-high 17.5 points per game, while power forward Zach Randolph paces the entire league with 26 double-doubles.  In its last 10 home games in this series, the team has managed to drop seven of them, which is important to consider when making your NBA picks against the spread Wednesday night.

Sports bettors will likely back the Grizzlies due to their 10-4 ATS mark versus teams that average 99-plus points per game.
