Ohio State enters the game with the nation’s longest winning streak at 20 games, while it ranks fourth in the BCS rankings for a second consecutive week.  The Buckeyes are one of six FBS schools to not allow a 100-yard rusher in 2013, while it ranks sixth in the country in allowing just 95.9 yards per game on the ground.  The team is also outscoring opponents by a 143-38 margin in the first quarter this season, which is important to consider when making your college football expert picks in Week 10.  Ohio State is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons.

The Buckeyes are led offensively by quarterback Braxton Miller, who recorded his eighth career game with at least 300 yards of total offense in last week’s blowout win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.  Ohio State also has a lead running back in Carlos Hyde, who has rushed for 464 yards and seven touchdowns in his last three games.  Second-year head coach Urban Meyer is 30-3 in November over the course of his career that started in 2003.

Purdue is coming off its second bye week of the 2013 campaign, as it looks to snap a five-game losing streak, which includes a 14-0 setback to the Michigan State Spartans as 28-point road underdogs on Oct. 19.  The Boilermakers have won their previous two meetings against the Buckeyes in Ross-Ade Stadium, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.  The program is one of the youngest in the country with five underclassmen, including four freshmen starting on the offensive side of the ball.  Purdue is 3-17 SU and 8-12 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons.

The Boilermakers have really struggled during Darrell Hazell’s first season on the sidelines, as he landed in West Lafayette after earning 2012 MAC Coach of the Year honors during his time at Kent State.  Purdue is set to play its fifth-straight game against a team ranked or receiving votes and the sixth of the 2013 campaign.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the OVER is 14-4-1 in the Boilermakers’ last 19 games.
