Titans Jaguars NFL Preview
The Tennessee Titans are 0-3 ATS as a road underdog this year

Tennessee has had 10 days to prepare for Buffalo, coming off a 26-23 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers as 5.5-point home underdogs, while going OVER the total for the fourth time in five contests.  “It feels good to win against a good opponent,” stated Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.  He completed 24 of 44 passes for 290 yards, as he made his second consecutive start due to Jake Locker still suffering from a shoulder injury.  Tennessee is 0-3 ATS as a road underdog this year.

The Titans are hoping that running back Chris Johnson turned the corner last week, gaining 91 yards on the ground against the Steelers, as they rank last in the NFL in rushing with 70.2 yards per game.  Tennessee owns a 26-14 all-time lead in this series in regular-season meetings, including a 23-17 win as one-point road underdogs last year.  Johnson finished with 153 yards and two touchdowns in that affair.

Buffalo split its two games on a recent road trip, picking up a 19-16 overtime win over the Arizona Cardinals as five-point road underdogs, but it’s still important to note that the team has been out-gained in three consecutive contests.  The Bills have had all kinds of trouble on the defensive end, allowing 32.0 points per game, which only trails Sunday’s opponent for the NFL’s worst mark in that particular category.  Buffalo is 3-5 ATS as a favorite the last two-plus seasons.

The Bills have the fifth-best rushing attack in the league, which should find great success against a Titans defense that has given up a ton of yardage in 2012.  Buffalo needs quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to play at a higher level, throwing for just 279 combined yards over the last two games, while failing to throw a touchdown strike in that span.  He may get some opportunities downfield against a defense that is allowing opposing signal-callers to compile a 107.9 passer rating.

Sports bettors will likely back the Titans due to the underdog covering four of the last five meetings, while the Bills are 1-4-1 ATS following a straight-up win.
