Lions Packers NFL Preview
The Green Bay Packers have absolutely owned the Detroit Lions when playing at home

Detroit has lost four games in a row despite scoring a combined 108 points in those contests, as it comes off a 35-33 setback to the Indianapolis Colts as seven-point home favorites.  The Lions have won the statistical battle in eight of their last 10 games, but have come away with just three victories in that span.  The team will be challenged on the offensive end down the stretch, considering it will play without wide receivers Ryan Broyles and Titus Young the rest of the way.  Detroit is 2-1 ATS as a road underdog of 3.5 to 7 points this season.

The Lions are still worth a look on the pro football odds page due to having quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, as they hooked up 13 times for 171 yards last week.  Detroit also welcomed back left tackle Jeff Backus, who had his 186-game consecutive start streak snapped the previous week due to a hamstring injury.  He played in all 77 offensive plays against the Colts.

Green Bay has won six of its last seven games and has gone 19-6 all-time in Sunday Night contests, which comes out to being the highest winning percentage in the NFL in that situation.  The Packers earned a 23-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings last week as seven-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total for the fourth time in five contests.  The franchise has won eight straight division games at Lambeau Field, which could certainly continue due to its 20-game home win streak over Sunday’s opponent.  Green Bay is 3-0 ATS versus NFC North foes this season, with the UNDER cashing in each circumstance.

The Packers have outscored their opponents by a combined 292-175 margin during their 10-game divisional win streak, while head coach Mike McCarthy is 30-9 in regular season play versus such foes.  In eight regular-season starts on Sunday night, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has completed 64.9 percent of his passes for 2,294 yards and 20 touchdowns with just three interceptions for a 112.7 passer rating.

Sports bettors will likely back the Packers due to their 10-3 ATS mark in the last 13 meetings, while the Lions are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games.
