Patriots vs. Dolphins NFL Preview
The New England Patriots are 10-0 SU against the Buffalo Bills when playing inside Gillette Stadium

Buffalo has lost four of its last five games, including a 21-9 setback to the Houston Texans as 11-point road underdogs, while going UNDER the total for the second time in three contests.  The Bills rank sixth in the NFL in gaining 141.3 yards per game on the ground, but many are wondering why the offense isn’t getting the ball to running back C.J. Spiller more often.  “That’s not my job description,” Spiller commented this week.  He leads the league in gaining 7.2 yards per carry.  Buffalo is 1-3 ATS as a road underdog this season.

The Bills suffered a 52-28 loss to the Patriots as 3.5-point home underdogs in their first meeting this year, as they were out-gained by a 580-438 margin.  Buffalo held a 21-7 lead with 11 minutes to go in the third quarter, but was outscored by 35 points the rest of the way.  In the last 21 meetings in the series, the franchise has been outscored by Sunday’s opponent by a 192-85 margin in the fourth quarter.

New England is coming off its bye week after capturing a convincing 45-7 win over the St. Louis Rams as 7.5-point favorites in London, while going OVER the total for the sixth straight game.  “I think we can improve a lot,” stated Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.  The Patriots lead the NFL in scoring 32.8 points and gaining 440.8 yards per game.  It’s not just quarterback Tom Brady that opponents need to worry about, as the offense is gaining 149.6 yards per game on the ground.  New England is 0-2 ATS as a favorite of 10 or more points this season.

The Patriots own the league’s highest winning percentage (.794) in division games from November until the end of the season since 2002.  New England has gone 10-0 against Buffalo when playing inside Gillette Stadium, while it enters wit ha 63-41-1 all-time edge in the series.  Belichick has compiled a 57-21 all-time regular record against AFC East opponents during his time with the franchise.

Sports bettors will likely back the Patriots due to their 9-4 ATS mark in division contests, while the Bills are 0-4 ATS in the same situation.
