Bears Packers NFC Championship Preview
The Chicago Bears are 7-1 SU and 3-5 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 7 points

New York has dropped its first five games of the 2013 NFL regular season, including a 36-21 setback to the Philadelphia Eagles as one-point home underdogs Sunday, while going OVER the betting total of 53.5.  The Giants are 69-87-5 in regular season games versus NFC North opponents, while posting a 3-4 mark versus the Bears under current head coach Tom Coughlin.  New York is 0-2 SUATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points this season, with both games going OVER the number.

The Giants will be aiming to avoid their first 0-6 start in 37 years, which is important to consider when making your NFL betting picks.  “Right now we are 0-5 and looking for our first win, hopefully coming on Thursday,” commented Giants linebacker Spencer Paysinger.  It’s important to point out that the franchise has won its last two games in this series, including a 17-3 victory as 3.5-point home favorites on Oct. 3, 2010.

Chicago has dropped its last two games despite winning the statistical battle, including a 26-18 defeat to the New Orleans Saints as one-point home favorites Sunday, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time in five contests.  The Bears have been outscored 50-20 in the first half of their last two contests, which is important to consider when looking over the NFL betting lines.  “I’m always going to be frustrated when we’re losing,” commented Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall.  Chicago is 7-1 SU and 3-5 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 7 points since 2011.

The Bears limited the Saints to a season-low 347 yards, but failed to force a turnover for the first time in 11 games.  Chicago will likely start a new streak in this affair, considering New York quarterback Eli Manning continues to throw interceptions at a very high rate.  Chicago signal-caller Jay Cutler is completing a career-best 65.7 percent of his passes, while he threw for a season-high 358 yards last week.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bears due to the Giants being 0-7 ATS in their last seven road games.
