Patriots vs. Dolphins NFL Preview
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is 17-6 SU in his career against the Miami Dolphins

New England has won its last three games, including a 27-26 victory over the Cleveland Browns as 9.5-point home favorites Sunday, while going OVER the betting total for a third consecutive affair.  The Patriots can clinch their fifth straight AFC East title and quality for the playoffs for the 21st time in their 54-year history, which is important to consider when looking over the pro football odds page.  The franchise has compiled a 47-6 SU record in December since 2011—the best such mark in the league.  New England is 0-2 SUATS as road favorites of three or fewer points this season.

The Patriots have the highest winning percentage in division games from November until the end of the season since 2002, which can’t be ignored when making your NFL betting picks in Week 15.  New England has won nine of the last 10 overall meetings against Miami, but the team is just 15-33 all-time when playing in South Beach.  Quarterback Tom Brady has compiled a 17-6 record in his previous 23 starts in this series—throwing 40 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.

Miami is also riding a two-game winning streak, which includes a 34-28 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers as three-point road underdogs last time out, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in four affairs.  The Dolphins are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC’s final playoff spot, as they try to reach the postseason for just the second time in the last 12 seasons.  Miami is 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-3-1 in that situation.

The Dolphins have a great opportunity of putting points on the scoreboard, as the Patriots rank 24th in the league in allowing 372.3 yards per game.  Miami second-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a career high-tying three touchdown passes last week, with two going to tight end Charles Clay, who now has 678 receiving yards on the season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Dolphins due to the Patriots being 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
