The Wisconsin Badgers are off to their best start in program history

Wisconsin is off to its best start in program history, as it comes off a 95-70 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as 10-point home favorites last Wednesday, while going OVER the betting total for a third consecutive contest.  The Badgers have won 12 consecutive games against the Hoosiers—no team has ever won 13-straight games in that situation.  Offensively, the squad is averaging 76.4 points per game, which is up 11.4 points from a season ago.  Wisconsin is 0-2 ATS as road favorites of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons, which is important to consider when making your NCAA basketball betting predictions Tuesday night.

The Badgers have scored 70-plus points in seven straight games, which is hard to ignored when looking over the NCAA basketball odds page.  Wisconsin has four of five starters averaging in double figures, with sophomore forward Sam Dekker leading the way at 14.3 points a contest.  The program has already posted six road/neutral wins during the 2013-14 campaign, while also pacing the nation with nine wins over RPI top 100 squads.

Indiana has compiled a 44-4 SU record at Assembly Hall since 2011-12, as it returns home after snapping a two-game losing streak by picking up a 79-76 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions as 1.5-point favorites.  The Hoosiers are led by sophomore guard Kevin Ferrell on the offensive end, as he’s averaging 17.6 points per game—up 9.9 from a season ago.  He has knocked down 44 percent of his three-point shots after making 30.3 percent as a freshman.  Indiana is 2-1 SUATS as a home underdog of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Hoosiers have dropped their last five games against ranked opponents, including all three opportunities this season.  Indiana trailed Penn State by 15 points in the first half last time out, but was able to overcome a season-low 36.2 percent shooting from the field.  Freshman forward Noah Vonleh continues to improve on both ends of the floor, as he finished with a career-high 19 points.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the UNDER is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Indiana.
