The San Diego State Aztecs have won 11 straight road games versus current Mountain West Conference members

San Diego State begins a two-game road stretch on Tuesday and comes in on a 10-game winning streak that includes a 57-44 home win over the Air Force Falcons last time out.  The Aztecs have won 57 of 58 games against teams not ranked in the AP Top 25 poll, but have lost 24 of 31 all-time trips to Wyoming.  The program has won 11 straight road games against current members of the Mountain West Conference, a streak that dates back to Feb. 6, 2010.  San Diego State is 3-0 ATS as a road underdog of three points or less the last two-plus seasons.

The Aztecs are currently enjoying their second-best start in school history and the defense continues to lead the way.  San Diego State has gone 36 consecutive games without allowing an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better from the field.  Junior Chase Tapley continues to lead the offense, scoring a game-high 16 points last time out versus the Falcons, as he averages 16.6 points per game.  He scored a career-high 28 points versus Baylor earlier in the year.

Wyoming has won five of its past six games and comes off a visually impressive 70-51 win over the Colorado State Rams as five-point home favorites.  The Cowboys have three starters that average in double figures and are shooting 47.1 percent from the field this season.  Redshirt junior Leonard Washington is certainly someone to watch in this contest, earning conference co-player of the week honors in scoring 45 combined points in two games versus Air Force and Colorado State.  Wyoming is 7-2 ATS at home this season.

The Cowboys will be looking to gain some revenge from the last time they hosted the Aztecs inside Arena-Auditorium, dropping an 85-58 decision as 11.5-point home underdogs.  Wyoming leads the conference in allowing just 53.1 points per game, while ranking third in outscoring opponents by 13.8 points a contest.  The defense has also gained national recognition, ranking third nationally.  It’s important to note that the program has tallied a 6-4 mark in its last 10 home games against nationally-ranked competition.

Bettors will likely back the Cowboys due to their 18-7-1 ATS mark at home, while the Aztecs are just 3-2 ATS on the road.
