America East Tournament Preview
The New Mexico Lobos are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 road games

New Mexico had its four-game conference opening wining streak end in dropping a 55-34 decision to the San Diego State Aztecs as 3.5-point road underdogs Saturday, while going UNDER the total for the seventh time in eight opportunities.  “We don’t harbor bad days or a loss here or there,” commented Lobos coach Steve Alford.  The Lobos haven’t shot the ball particularly well this year, coming into this affair as the second-worst shooting team in the Mountain West Conference.  New Mexico is 20-7 ATS in its last 27 conference games, which shouldn’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks Wednesday night.

The Lobos are 61-64 all-time against the Cowboys, including a 22-38 mark when playing in Laramie.  New Mexico has won nine of its last 11 games against Wyoming including four of its last five on the road.  Overall, in the program’s seven road opponents at the time of the game have held a lofty combined 48-4 record, but it has covered the spread in 15 of its last 21 games away from home dating back to last year.

Wyoming has dropped back-to-back games, including a 57-48 defeat to the Air Force Falcons as eight-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total for the seventh-straight game.  The Cowboys will need a big game out of forward Leonard Washington, who was held to 21 points on 29.2 percent shooting in two meetings with the Lobos last year.  “He’s one of the better players in our league,” stated Alford this week.  Wyoming is 26-12-1 ATS in its last 39 home games, which is important to consider when looking over the college basketball odds page.

The Cowboys lead the Mountain West in allowing just 54.4 points per game, while ranking second in entering this affair with a plus-2.7 turnover margin.  Wyoming has defeated nine of its last 14 ranked opponents at the Arena Auditorium, while going 26-28 all-time in that situation.

Sports bettors will likely back the Lobos due to their 4-1 ATS mark following a straight-up loss, while the UNDER is 7-2 in the last nine meetings.
