Arizona State will try to bounce back from a 87-72 setback to the UCLA Bruins as 6.5-point road underdogs Sunday, while going OVER the betting total of 152.  The Sun Devils are 1-7 SU all-time when taking on the No. 1 team in the nation, which is important to consider when making your NCAA basketball betting predictions.  Defensively, the team is led by the play of center Jordan Bachynski, who has recorded a NCAA-best 78 blocks this season.  Arizona State is 0-2 SUATS as underdogs this season.

The Sun Devils will need a major performance out of point guard Jahii Carson in trying to pull off a straight-up win, as he’s averaged 21.3 points in 15 true road games over the course of his career, which is hard to ignored when looking over the NCAA basketball lines.  It’s also important to point out that Herb Sendek has scored two wins against top-ranked teams in his career—both coming during his time at NC State.  He has compiled a 7-8 SU record in this in-state rivalry since arriving in Temple, including a 3-4 mark in Tucson.

Arizona looks to captured its third consecutive win in this series, as it returns home after earning a road sweep over the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans.  The Wildcats rank fourth nationally in allowing just 56.0 points per game, which has been made possible by allowing foes to shoot just 37.1 percent from the field.  The team has also won the rebounding battle in 16 of 17 games—resulting in a +10.7 margin in that all-important statistical category.  Arizona is 7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS as home favorites of 12.5 to 15 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Wildcats have three players averaging in double figures, with senior guard Nick Johnson leading the way in scoring 16.3 points a contest.  Arizona has won six of eight games in this series under the direction of head coach Sean Miller, while Johnson is averaging 13.8 points in four career games versus the Sun Devils.

Sports bettors will likely back the Wildcats due to their 4-1 ATS mark in the last five meetings in this series.
