The Washington Wizards have had the wheels fall off in a four-game skid that is unlikely to end tonight as it travels to face LeBron James and the Cavaliers in a game NBA oddsmakers are favoring the Cavs by 9-points.

The Wiz fell by just two to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night, 84-82. John Wall struggled, hitting just 6 of 25 from the field (24 percent) for 18 points while committing three of Washington’s 14 turnovers.

The Wizards forced Toronto into 22 miscues but scored just 15 points on those turnovers and were negative-5 on the glass.  Kyle Lowry was able to outplay Wall for the most part, as last year’s All-Star starter scored 27 in the affair.

Wall has struggled over his last three games hitting just 16 of 44 from the field while averaging just 14 points per game. He has also turned the ball over 4.8 times per game over the Wizards’ last four games of which it has lost all of them. What’s worse is before the loss to the Raptors, the Wizards lost to Boston by 33 points, Charlotte by 14 and Indiana by 17. Washington has not been close, and it stands to reason that the Wizards go as Wall does.

The Cavaliers have won five of its past six to improve to 13-4 on the season and are holders of the best record in the East. It nearly lost to the Brooklyn Nets, but LeBron James was able to come through with some clutch play in the fourth quarter to save the Cavs. “Obviously I want the ball in my hands down the stretch,” James said.

James and Kevin Love each scored 26 points, and Love hit 6 of 11 from three-point range in the game. The Cavs got just 22 points from its other three starters (Timofey Mozgov, Mo Williams and J.R. Smith), and the bench was relatively unproductive other than a double-double posted by unlikely max-contract holder Tristan Thompson.

The Cavs do have depth, even it did not show in last game’s 6 of 18 shooting from its bench. What is more is that Cleveland is 9-0 at home this season and the Wizards are having such struggles. Cleveland leads the Pacers by 1.5 games in the Central Division.
