Brooklyn has dropped back-to-back games in this series by scoring just 158 combined points, including a 79-76 setback to Chicago as 3.5-point road underdogs Thursday, while going UNDER the betting total of 182.  “I just think we’re going through a tough time right now,” commented Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo.  The Nets are hoping to get some production out of point guard Deron Williams, who is 6 of 23 combined from the field in the last two contests.  Brooklyn is 4-3 SUATS as road underdogs of three points or less, which is important to consider when making your NBA expert picks Saturday.

The Nets were 23-18 overall away from the Barclays Center during the 2012-13 NBA season, including a 16-10 mark versus Eastern Conference opponents.  Brooklyn is 7-0 all-time in five and seven-game series in franchise history when holding home-court advantage, which must be considered when looking over the NBA betting lines the rest of the way in this matchup.  The bench was limited in a big way in Game 3, but did combine to score 58 points in the first two contests.

Chicago is 25-25 all-time in Game 4’s, including a 11-13 mark when holding a 2-1 series advantage.  The Bulls have gone on to win 21 of their 24 postseason series when holding this type of advantage.  Offensively, forwards Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng led the way last time out, as they combined to score 43 points and grab 26 rebounds.  On the other side of the floor, the defense limited Brooklyn to just 34.6 percent shooting.  Chicago is 4-1 SUATS as home favorites of three points or less, with the OVER going 3-2 in that situation.

The Bulls ranked third in the league in scoring defense by limiting opponents to 92.9 points per game during the regular season, which was helped by holding the Nets to 87.5 in four meetings.  Boozer was the key player for the squad in those regular season meetings, as he averaged 21.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.

Sports bettors will likely play the total in this affair, as the OVER is 5-2 in the Bulls last seven home games versus a team with a winning road record.
