NBA Finals Game 5 Golden State Warriors: Selected Player Props at Bovada

NBA FINALS GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS SELECTED PROPS AT BOVADA

The news on Kevin Durant is complete: He is listed as active and will play in Game 5, as the Golden State Warriors attempt to stave off elimination on the road. The Raptors, of course, lead the series 3-1, but Durant’s presence could entirely change the overall perspective on the Dubs’ chances.

Beyond that, how will Durant play in his first game back since suffering a torn calf? Is he really ready? Will he play more than half the game?

These remain unknowns, but that is what will make player prop betting on the Warriors particularly interesting in this game 5. Let us examine a handful of player prop bets, all of which are headily affected by the presence of a now-active “Slim Reaper.”

Total Made 3s by Kevin Durant: Over/under 4.5 (O -115; U -115)

Kevin Durant has been inactive, and he might not be overly assertive on offense. While dialing up five or more triples is certainly possible, the UNDER looks far more attractive here at even -115 odds to the “over” on 4.5 made triples. Durant could have a tremendous impact on this game, but it likely will not because he gets atomically hot and hits five or more threes.

Total Made 3s by Stephen Curry: Over/under 4.5 (O +115; U -145)

Where Durant may lay low, Curry most certainly will not: He scored 47 in Game 3 without Klay Thompson available, and though both Thompson and Durant are a “Go” in this one, there’s a lot of reasons to suspect Curry takes on a high-usage role in this game. He has been somewhat bothered by his lack of “respect” in terms of never having won a Finals MVP award, and this might be his chance to definitively earn some more votes in that regard. The OVER is very attractive, as Curry likely hits six-plus in this affair.

Total Made 3s by Klay Thompson: Over/under 4.5 (O +115; U -145)

This 4.5 mark is really interesting with Thompson, but the UNDER offers slightly more value at -145. Thompson easily could drill five threes, but Curry is going to attempt every triple he can get his fingers on, so the UNDER seems like the way to go given we’ve already gone ahead and predicted Curry has a defining game tonight.

Total Made 3s by DeMarcus Cousins: Over/under 0.5 (O +250; U -325)

While DeMarcus Cousins is not a tremendous threat from three, this dicey bet offers a little bit of value on the OVER since he needs to only can one. With more defensive attention drawn away from Cousins due to Durant’s presence, he should get that “one open look” necessary to bang the over on this, and the OVER at +250 is a better value with that considered.

Total Rebounds + Assists Kevin Durant: 30.5 (O -115; U -115)

Due to Durant likely facing minutes-restrictions, these bets on the OVER for his cumulative stats are dicey at best, and simply because we do not know “how healthy” Durant is, it seems like a safe one to steer clear from: PUSH.

Total Rebounds + Assists Stephen Curry 39.5 (O -115; U -115)

While Curry is due for a huge scoring game, there is little guarantee that the dimes and boards come with it. And 39.5 is a pretty high mark for rebounding and dishing considerin his main focus is going to be on hosting the deep ball. The UNDER is better wager here.

Total Rebounds + Assists Draymond Green 28.5 (O -115; U -115)

Draymond Green has had a quiet Finals in terms of scoring, but his role as a high post passer remains essential for the Warriors. In fact, the fewer Green scores, the more likely he is able to hit that 28.5 mark on Rebounds + Assists. However, 28.5 is still a high mark and we advocate the UNDER on it.
