It’s hard to expect much from the Cavs without their best player Kyrie Irving, a lock to win rookie of the year. The Cavs are still 6.5 point favorites according to NBA oddsmakers, which is not that perplexing when one considers just how horrible the Bobcats are.

The Cavs have won one-third of their games this season, but have lost 10 of the last 11 with Irving, Daniel Gibson, and Anthony Parker all on the shelf. Rookie Lester Hudson has helped fill the void, and has scored 12.7 points per game over the last 6 games, while he put up 23 in an OT win over the Raptors, and 26 points in a loss to the Nets on Sunday.

“He’s been fantastic. I’m just happy for him because he’s playing so hard, and he’s a good kid..” Byron Scott beamed.

Hudson just signed his second 10 day contract and irving is still expected to miss a couple more
games.

That likely won’t matter much tonight against the Bobcats who had won just 7 of their 55 games. Corey Maggette and Kemba Walker combined for 43 points in the horrid loss to the Wizards last game, as they shot just 39% from the floor as a team and lost their third in the last four by more than 20 points. Just to make this a ten win season, they must win 3 of their final 11, which wouldn’t be much of a challenge for most teams, but the tanking Bobcats probably don’t care; their sites are set on Anthony Davis of Kentucky.

Bobcats Betting Trends:

The Bobcats are 20-34 ATS this season and 12-17 ATS in road games. They are 11-28 ATS revenging a loss against an opponent and 3-8 ATS after a division game. They are 2-6 ATS in games in which the total is between 190 and 194.5.

Cavs Betting Trends:

The Cavs are 25-28 ATS this season and 3-7 ATS as a favorite. They are 13-20 ATS in the second half of the season and 3-3 ATS after three consecutive road games. They are 14-12 ATS vs teams with losing records.
